It’s amazing how much I love my city… and how much I love Iowa in general. It’s been a rather emotional roller coaster of a week but tonight, I just let it go. I went for a drive with my family… we had all the windows down letting the wind blow our hair all crazy. We just drove around the city stopping to walk around a park for a bit. Then we got shakes and came home. But, we laughed so much and it was such a release for me. I felt sooo much better. There’s still so much that is on my mind, and a million (or so it seems) things I am worried about… but for tonight, I can just let it go… and breathe a little easier. Oh, and Iowa SMELLS like heaven. Seriously, the air is so fresh! I just love it here.
